To celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year, we created an immersive installation exploring the stories of the whetū through nine large-scale 3D stars. Each star represents a member of the Matariki cluster and reflects the values and meaning of the Māori New Year.
A giant telescope encourages visitors to pause, look closer, and engage with the stories behind the display, creating an interactive and educational experience.
