Westfield Māori Language Week 2024

I tenei ra ka timata Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2024 mai i te 14 – 21 Mahuru

This year’s theme is ‘Ake ake ake – A Forever Language’, representing the resilience, adaptability and endurance of te Reo Māori.

We love being involved each year with Westfield Riccarton to support and promote the commitment of embracing and learning the language long into the future.

This year we utilised the spinning cube frame to communicate lots of interesting educational te Reo learning courtesy of the amazing online resources available from https://www.reomaori.co.nz/. Flanked either side with a selection of our NZ native plants, providing a vibrant backdrop for several performances organized to happen throughout the week.

We also had the pleasure of organising the display of several bright and creative artworks provided by the students at Wharenui School.
