Tūhuratia te reo Māori

As part of the yearly celebration of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week), this year’s display at Westfield Riccarton was designed to be more than something to simply look at. We wanted it to be informative, engaging, creative and fun.

We transformed an existing large advent calendar unit by reskinning the entire structure, including the outside and inside of the drawers and doors. Using resources provided online by Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, we developed engaging signage and visual content that encourages visitors to stop, open, explore and learn.

Native plants from our nursery were also incorporated into the display, adding a natural element that complemented the overall design.

The result was an interactive display that combined creative design with learning, giving visitors an engaging way to explore te reo Māori.
