Walk Through the Stars of Matariki
A custom-designed and built walk-through tunnel formed the centrepiece of Westfield Riccarton’s Matariki display, with signage highlighting each of the nine stars in the Matariki cluster. Native grasses lined the tunnel, creating a natural connection that complemented the story of Matariki.
Alongside the display, an illuminated information plinth shared the story of Matariki and offered complimentary star map flyers, while a dedicated kids’ craft area encouraged families to stop, learn, and take part in the celebration.
