About
After 12 years working in TV and film production across Auckland and London, I swapped call sheets for concepts and made the move into events. Originally from Ōtautahi Christchurch, I’d always planned to make my way home eventually. After one too many flights up and down the country for work, a change felt overdue, and events seemed like the natural next chapter.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me renovating our 110-year-old villa with my husband, attempting to resist bringing home more op-shop treasures, or being emotionally manipulated by my extremely needy cocker spaniel, Peachy.
A typical workday
My days are usually split between creative planning and making things happen. I could be developing concepts and quotes in the office one day, then on-site leading a crew and managing an install the next. It’s a role that requires equal parts creativity, organisation, and problem-solving, which is why my production background translates so naturally to this role.
Because I typically work on projects from the first conversation through to pack-out, I get to be involved in every stage of the process, which means plenty of variety and very few boring days.
Favourite project or activation
I’m most drawn to projects where I can take what we already have in the warehouse and reimagine it into something completely new. I really enjoy the challenge of not just reusing elements, but rethinking how they can be adapted to create something original and tailored to each concept.
A close second is anything that lets us showcase our incredible native flora. I love incorporating plants from the Themepro nursery to create spaces that reflect Aotearoa.
